Our curriculum The curriculum consists of everything the children learn whilst at school. Some areas will be explicitly taught, other areas will be learned more implicitly, through the way things are done, the way we relate to each other, and the personal and moral values promoted by the school. At Ashley Down Infant School we seek to provide a curriculum which is firmly rooted in our core learning values and which also reflects very strongly the strengths and needs of our school community. We work in partnership with our parents and the community to develop our curriculum, for example, through working parties on reading, the library and inclusion. Our curriculum has three parts to it, but these fully interweaved and embedded within each other to provide exciting educational experiences that are appropriate and relevant to each child.
